Delicious food, soft ambiance, extremely kind and generous people who run the restaurant. The sizzling Tandoor dishes were especially exceptional. The Murgh tikka and the Murgh malai kabab were tender, flavorful, and substantial. The Morich mangsho dish had a great kick if you're into spicy. Can't wait to go back and try the other dishes like Chicken Kadai and salmon tikka. The shrimp tikka masala was good, but the Fish paturi dish, which was a mustardy salmon cooked in banana leaf was surprisingly tasty. They have a vast menu of vegetarian and vegan dishes if you don't eat chicken or lamb. We completed our meal with a cool creamy Kheer which hit just the right sweet spot. Will definitely be going there again and again and again soon!

Every dish was packed with flavor and just so delicious. Not only that but the service was incredible & so attentive. Recommend the bhel puri, murgh tikka and buttered chicken. Definitely have to come back and try more items off the menu!

Salmon and Mustard never go together. All there fish only Salmon. Butter naan is not puffy. Chili chicken was chewy. Overall food not even close to taste of Calcutta. Price is very reasonable and service was excellent.

my boyfriend and i were looking for an indian place in lic, and this restaurant looked good! we got samoas, chicken saag and paneer tikka masala with garlic naan. i very much enjoyed chicken saag and samosas, and will be coming back for it. my boyfriend thought the paneer tikka masala wasn’t spicy enough - bummed. i also got an iced tea thinking it was like an american tea but got iced chai lol it was still good :) We were sat right away. the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. not sure if she was the owner? when my earring fell off she offered to find it 😭 i found it a couple of minutes later but it was so sweet of her. the staff came by a couple of times to check on us too! can’t wait to come back again!

At first I thought this was an NYC branch of the Oh! Calcutta chain of restaurants in India - but they are not affiliated and they were quite upfront about that. The food was delicious even though I wouldn't say every dish we tried was authentic Bengali. The kosha mangsho was delicious, the luchi was more like a bhatura (but delicious nonetheless!), the alur dom was ok, the puchka and jhal muri were nice enough and the desserts were great. We ordered the sandesh and mishti doi which totally hit the spot. And then the owner brought us a bit of the kheer (or paayesh) for just a taste and that was SO GOOD and not overly sweet. You could tell they used jaggery for all of the sweets. I'd definitely come back. Service was good - staff is attentive and we had two people checking in regularly AND the owner came by to chat and was very hands-on so we felt like guests at someone's home than just at a restaurant.
